Do we need reservations?
Yes, we recommend booking your airboat tour in advance to secure your spot. Our tours fill up quickly, especially during weekends, holidays, and peak season. Reserve online or call us today to plan your guided tour! However, we do take walkups based on availability.

Our tours operate out of Blue Cypress Conservation Area on Lake Garcia just minutes west of Vero Beach, one of the most pristine and scenic wetlands in the Sunshine State. Our address: 3725 Co Rd. 512, Fellsmere, FL 32948

How long is the tour?
Our standard airboat tour lasts 50 minutes, giving you plenty of time to explore Florida’s wetlands and spot wildlife. We also offer private and extended tours for those who want a more personalized experience. Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to departure time to sign our liability waiver and give the captain time to get you on the boat with your headsets.
How much does a tour cost?
Our Standard Guided Airboat tours are $52.00 per person plus Florida sales tax.
Our Private and Specialty tours start at $695.00 plus Florida sales tax. Pricing may vary depending on customization, group size, and special requests.
Children Ages 3 and under are free
Are your airboat tours family-friendly?
Yes! Our Florida airboat tours are perfect for families and guests of all ages. We provide life jackets, follow strict safety guidelines, and offer an exciting yet comfortable ride. Kids love spotting alligators, birds, and wildlife while learning about Florida’s unique ecosystems. It’s a fun, safe, and educational adventure for the whole family!
Is it safe?
Absolutely. All of our captains are USCG-licensed and have completed the Florida Wildlife Commission (FWC) Airboat Operators Course to ensure your safety is our top priority. We follow strict safety protocols and provide a safety briefing before every ride. We conduct regular equipment checks to ensure our state-of-the-art airboats provide a secure and enjoyable experience.
Do you operate year-round?
Yes, tours are offered year-round, with schedules adjusted for seasonal demand and weather conditions.
What wildlife can we expect to see?
You’ll enjoy an up-close look at Florida wildlife, including alligators, wading birds, fish, turtles, osprey, occasional bald eagles, and the unique flora of Florida’s wetlands.
What should I bring on the tour?
For the best airboat adventure in the Vero Beach area, bring sunglasses, sunscreen, and a hat or cap for sun protection. A camera or smartphone is great for capturing wildlife and scenic views.

✅ Water Bottle – Water Bottle for before or after the tour – Stay hydrated. We prefer that you leave drink and food items in your car as we do our best to protect the environment.

Do you offer photography airboat tours?
Yes! Our photography tours are customized for time of day and length. The boat is typically reserved exclusively for photographers to capture stunning wildlife and landscapes.
Are bird-watching tours available?
Absolutely! Our bird-watching tours are tailored for enthusiasts, with flexible scheduling and private boat options for individuals or small groups.
We’ve also teamed up with a birding expert with over 30 years of experience to accommodate special groups for an additional fee. Advance notice required.
Can you host special occasion airboat tours?
Yes! We offer custom tours for:
- Birthdays
- Family reunions
- Company events
- School field trips
We have two separate boats which can accommodate up to 15 passengers each totaling up to 30 passengers per tour time, and itineraries are fully customizable. All of our boats have true stadium seating allowing everyone on the tours excellent wildlife viewing.
What happens if there is bad weather?
Weather cancellations are at the discretion of the captain, crew and staff, and for safety reasons, tours may be delayed or rescheduled due to lightning, high winds, or heavy rain. We’ll work with you to rebook or offer a full refund if needed.
What is your cancellation policy?
All cancellations must be made at least 48 hours prior to your reservation to receive a full refund by calling the office at 772-461-0303. If we need to cancel your reservation, for any reason, we will refund or reschedule you based on availability, whichever you prefer.
Can I change my tour date or time?
Yes! All changes to tours must be made at least 48 hours in advance by calling the office at 772-461-0303 and is based on availability.
What if I arrive late or do not show up at all?
The airboat has limited seating capacity, and “late arrivals” and “no shows” affect us significantly. Therefore, there are absolutely no refunds for “late arrivals” or “no shows.” We never overbook the airboat because we are honoring your reservation. We do empathize, but we must maintain this policy. We have turned away other guests to honor your reservation. We will try to accommodate “late arrivals” on a later tour that day, if available.
Will I get motion sickness on the airboat?
No, the airboat ride is smooth, and it glides across the top of land and water.
Are there a lot of bugs and mosquitos?
There are no mosquitos while on the moving airboat, but there could be mosquitos around the launch ramp and loading area especially during Florida’s Rainy Season.
Are service animals allowed?
No, for safety reasons, pets and service animals are not permitted on the airboat based on recommendations from veterinarians due to possible hearing damage to your pet or service animal. We, at Stumpknocker Tours, love animals and want the best for them..
Do you accommodate guests with hearing or visual impairments?
Yes! Captains use clear, amplified communication systems. Please inform us of any specific needs when booking so we can make appropriate arrangements.
Is there a restroom at the launch site?
Restroom facilities are available at the Blue Cypress Recreation Area parking lot. We recommend using them before your tour, as there are no restrooms on the boat.
Is smoking or vaping allowed?
No, smoking and vaping are not allowed on the airboat or in the boarding area.
